BRIGADIER GENERAL A K M WAHEDUZZAMAN, ndc, psc

Brigadier General A K M Waheduzzaman has joined NDC as College Secretary on 03 January 2011. Born on 10 November 1960, he was commissioned in Bangladesh Army in December 1980 in the Corps of Infantry.

Brigadier General Wahed has a distinguished carrier in command, staff and instruction. He commanded an Infantry Brigade besides a number of Infantry Battalions. He served in Border Guard Bangladesh as a Battalion Commander and Sector Commander respectively. Beside regimental staff appointments, he was the Brigade Major of a Brigade, Grade 1 staff officer in Military Operation Directorate and Director of Military Intelligence in Army Headquarters. He was instructor in School of Infantry and Tactics for a long time and a Directing Staff in Defence Service Command and Staff College. He also served as military observer in UNIMOG, Georgia and a Contingent Commander in UNMIL, Liberia.

Brigadier General Wahed attended number of courses at home and abroad. He attended his mandatory courses in Bangladesh and Mid Career Course in Pakistan. He is a graduate of Defence Service Command and Staff College, Mirpur and has Master in Defence Studies under National University, Bangladesh in his credit. . He attended staff course in Army War College, Turkey. He is also a graduate of National Defence College, India and earned M Phil from Madras University. He is an MBA from Northern University, Bangladesh.

Brigadier General Wahed is a widely travelled person and visited Kuwait, KSA, Thailand, Pakistan, Romania, Liberia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Greece, United Kingdom, Georgia, UAE, Singapore, USA, Myanmar, Malaysia, Turkey, India, Sri-Lanka and Russia.

Brigadier General Wahed is happily married to Mona Wahed and father of a daughter Nirjana and son Ifaan.

COLONEL MUHAMMAD SHAHNOOR RAHMAN, afwc, psc

DIRECTOR (RESEARCH AND ACADEMIC)

 

Colonel Muhammad Shahnoor Rahman, afwc, psc is the Director Research and Academic since 23 May 2011. He was born on 29 September 1962 and was Commissioned in the Corps of Artillery in 1983.

Colonel Shahnoor served as the Colonel Administration of Area Headquarters, Comilla before joining the current appointment. His first command of 9 Field Regiment  Artillery  was in Chittajong Hill Tracts. He was the raising Commanding Officer of 16 Field Regiment  Artillery in his second command. His third command was in Liberia (BANBATT-11, 7 Field Regiment  Artillery) under UN Chapter-VII. He was an instructor in School of Military Intelligence and also in School of Artillery, Chittagong. He was the Operations Officer in Operations  Headquarters, UNGCI (North Iraq). As staff officer, he served as Adjutant, Artillery Centre & School (School Wing), Brigade Major,  Headquarters  105 Infantry Brigade, GSO-1, Headquarters  11 Infantry Division, Acting Chief Evaluator & Formation Training Evaluator,  Headquarters  Army Training and Doctrine Command and  Colonel Administration of Area Headquarters Comilla.

Colonel Shahnoor has attended several courses both at home and abroad namely Artillery Staff Officers Course in India and Intelligence Advance Course and  Intelligence In Counter Terrorism Course in USA. He has attended Senior Staff Course-56 at Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre at Savar in 2011.  He is a graduate of Defence Service Command and Staff College Mirpur and also a graduate of Armed Forces War Course from National Defence College Mirpur. He obtained Bachelor of Science from Chittagong University. He is a Master of Defence Studies and Master of Security Studies from National University and Bangladesh University of Professionals respectively.

Colonel Shahnoor is a widely travelled person who visited India, Belgium, Iraq, France, Kuwait, Bahrain, England, Ireland, China, Malaysia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Dubai, Liberia, Saudi Arab, Qatar and USA. His article “Attitude Makes it All” was published in 42nd Bangladesh Army Journal.

Colonel Shahnoor and his wife Mrs Shirin Rahman are blessed with three sons. He is a keen Golfer and was a Golf Captain in one of the Golf and Country Club in Bangladesh.
