As the Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC), my vision is to uphold and further strengthen the institution's role as a premier center of excellence, dedicated to advancing national security, strategy, and development studies. Guided by the motto, "Security Through Knowledge," my vision is rooted in NDC’s aim of preparing future leaders with a comprehensive understanding of the intricate linkages between national security and development.
I envision NDC continuing its mission of equipping decision-makers with the necessary analytical tools, strategic foresight, and leadership capabilities to address the evolving challenges of a dynamic global environment. In today’s interconnected world, where internal and external forces constantly shape a nation’s policies, our focus will be on fostering critical thinking, promoting collaboration, and nurturing the intellectual and strategic acumen required for sustainable national growth and security.
Through our diverse programmes, such as the National Defence Course, the Armed Forces War Course, and the Capstone Course, NDC will remain committed to broadening the cognitive horizon of our participants, widening their perspective and fostering a deep understanding of the global and regional context in which Bangladesh operates. Our courses will continue to provide a platform where civil and military leaders, as well as leaders from various strata of society, can collaborate and generate innovative solutions for the nation’s security and development challenges.
While carrying out the legacy of our founders and past Commandants, my aim is to elevate NDC’s stature both nationally and internationally, ensuring that our graduates continue to make significant contributions to Bangladesh and beyond. We will maintain our focus on excellence, adaptability, and inclusivity, driving NDC’s vision forward into a future of heightened global prominence and national service.
