National Defence College (NDC), Bangladesh celebrated the Independence Day of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka on Sunday, 08 February 2026. Course member of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka attending National Defence Course-2026 Brigadier H H S P S De Silva RSP USP and Air Commodore KRP Ekanayake presented their country to the other course members. NDC Cup Golf Tournament- 2026
NDC Cup Golf Tournament- 2026 was held at Kurmitola Golf Club (KGC), Dhaka Cantonment on Saturday, 07 February 2026. Respected faculty members, staff officers, course members of ND Course-2026, AFWC-2026, their spouses and children participated in the tournament. Commandant, National Defence College (NDC), Bangladesh inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners.
Inauguration Ceremony of AFWC Wing
The Inauguration Ceremony of the Armed Forces War Course (AFWC) Wing at Dhaka Cantonment was held on Monday, 02 February 2026. The wing was jointly inaugurated by the respected Chief of Army Staff (CAS), respected Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) and the respected Chief of Air Staff (COAS). Senior officials of Bangladesh Armed Forces and civil services including Principal Staff Officer (PSO), Armed Forces Division, Quarter Master General (QMG), Bangladesh Army were present at the ceremony.

ICE Breaking Ceremony-2026
The ICE Breaking Ceremony of National Defence Course (ND Course)-2026 and Armed Forces War Course (AFWC)-2026 was held on Thursday, 29 January 2026 at National Defence College (NDC). In this auspicious event course members of Bangladesh Armed Forces, Civil services and International course members from 17 different countries introduced themselves with each other. Graduation Ceremony of ND Course-2025 & AFWC-2025
Graduation Ceremony of National Defence Course (ND Course)-2025 and Armed Forces War Course (AFWC)-2025 was held at Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) Complex Auditorium on Wednesday, 03 December 2025. This year, 96 senior officers attended the National Defence Course-2025. Among them 35 are from Bangladesh Army, 07 from Bangladesh Navy, 07 from Bangladesh Air Force, 18 from Bangladesh Civil Services including 01 from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 02 from Bangladesh Police, 01 from Bangladesh Ansar & VDP and 29 are International senior officers from 18 friendly countries.
A total of 56 military officers successfully completed the Armed Forces War Course-2025. Amongst them 40 are from Bangladesh Army, 08 from Bangladesh Navy and 08 are from Bangladesh Air Force.
His Excellency Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Hon'ble Chief Adviser, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Graduation Dinner of ND Course-2025 & AFWC-2025
Graduation dinner of National Defence Course (ND Course)-2025 and Armed Forces War Course (AFWC)-2025 was held at Army Multipurpose Complex, Dhaka Cantonment on Tuesday, 25 November 2025. Respected faculty members, course members of ND Course-2025 and AFWC-2025, invited guests and all staff officers of National Defence College (NDC) alongwith their families attended the programme. Brigadier W M P W N D B Weerakoon, RSP, USP from Sri Lanka Army, Joint Secretary Ms Rokeya Khaton from Bangladesh Civil Services and Air Commodore Md Rafiul Huq, BSP, BPP, afwc, psc, ADWC from Bangladesh Air Force delivered speech on behalf of allied, civil services and military course members of ND Course-2025 respectively. Captain Mohammod Naushad Bin Abdullah, (L), psc, BN from Bangladesh Navy delivered speech on behalf of course members of AFWC-2025. Commandant, NDC graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Course Closing Ceremony of ND Course-2025 and AFWC-2025
The Course Closing Ceremony of the National Defence Course (ND Course)-2025 and the Armed Forces War Course (AFWC)-2025 was held at the National Defence College (NDC) on Tuesday, 25 November 2025. The Commandant, NDC graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest and formally handed over the certificates of Master of Social Science in Security and Development (MSS in SD) to the participants of ND Course-2025 and AFWC-2025.
In recognition of outstanding research excellence among the course members of ND Course-2025, Brigadier General Mohammad Raisul Islam, afwc, psc; Commodore M Nazmul Hassan, (N), NPP, BCGM, PCGMS, afwc, psc, BN; and Brigadier General Abu Haya Md Masud, psc secured the 1st, 2nd and 3rd awards respectively for the Best Individual Research Project (IRP). Among the international course members of ND Course-2025, Colonel Tajudeen Ajibola Lamidi, MSS psc(+) fwc CM GOM PDDCS MGL MCPSS of Nigeria, and Commodore Pramod George Thomas of India were awarded 1st and 2nd best IRP respectively.
From the AFWC-2025, Lieutenant Colonel Md Wadud Ullah Chowdhury, psc; Lieutenant Colonel Md Rifath Sayeed Chowdhury, psc; and Lieutenant Colonel Tanvir Ahmed, psc, G received 1st, 2nd and 3rd awards respectively for the Best Individual Research Paper, in recognition of their outstanding research contributions.
